Bachelor of Accounting (Hons) is offered by Multimedia University (MMU) as a 3-year programme at the Cyberjaya and Melaka campuses, taught fully in English. The course covers financial accounting and reporting, management accounting, taxation, auditing, corporate law and ethics and governance, preparing graduates for professional accounting qualifications.
Year 1 includes Principles of Marketing, Finance 1, Statistics for Accounting, Financial Accounting & Reporting 1 & 2, Economics, Business Law, Taxation 1, English for Business Communication and general education units (U1, U2, U4). Year 2 advances to management accounting, corporate law, Audit 1, accounting information systems, ethics and governance, Financial Accounting & Reporting 3 & 4, Taxation 2 and electives.
Year 3 completes Strategic Management, Integrated Case Study, Analytics for Accounting, Financial Accounting & Reporting 5, Audit 2, electives and Accounting Internship. Graduates can pursue careers as professional accountants, forensic accounting and investigation, auditing, management accounting, financial accounting, public sector accounting, accounting information systems, academicians and consultants.
