In order to attract and encourage more outstanding foreign students to study and conduct scientific research in Nanjing universities and expand the number of foreign students in Nanjing, the Nanjing Municipal Government began to establish the "Foreign Student Scholarship" in 2013.

Requirements for sorting and sending:

For new students, the application materials should be in two files: a PDF and an EXCEL file. (Scan items ①, ②, ③, and ④ in order into one PDF file, and scan item ⑤ into a separate EXCEL file.)

File naming: "Applicant's Chinese name + student category + freshman" For example: Wu Yongen + undergraduate + freshman

*With the total amount remaining unchanged, the final number of places will be slightly adjusted based on actual circumstances.

*The scholarship is valid for one academic year. Students who drop out of school or are disciplined for violations of laws and regulations will be disqualified from receiving the scholarship.

New students

Undergraduate and graduate students

Be friendly to China, be in good health, and abide by the laws and regulations of the Chinese government;
Meet the admission requirements for international students of Nanjing University and have good overall qualities;
Not receiving any other Chinese government scholarship or school scholarship;
Through comprehensive selection.

Current students

Undergraduate

Not receiving other Chinese government scholarships or school scholarships during the same period;
Students who have studied at the school for one academic year or more and are not on leave or extension;
Abide by Chinese laws while at school, do not violate any laws or school rules and regulations, and do not receive any disciplinary action;
GPA average is 4.3 or above for liberal arts and 3.8 or above for science, with no failing subjects;
Recommended by the department.

Postgraduate

Not receiving other Chinese government scholarships or school scholarships during the same period;
Students who have studied at the school for one academic year or more and are not on leave or extension;
Abide by Chinese laws while at school, do not violate any laws or school rules and regulations, and do not receive any disciplinary action;
Strong academic research ability, passing the mid-term assessment with excellent results and good overall quality;
Recommended by the department.

*Under the same conditions, priority will be given to freshmen and applicants with good overall qualities, outstanding performance, and contributions to Chinese society or the university.
