Contents

• Active Ingredient: Terazosin hydrochloride dihydrate equivalent to 2 /mg Terazosin
• Excipients: Includes usual tablet binders and fillers (e.g. lactose monohydrate) as per standard formulations
• Dosage Form: Yellow, tablet-strength 2 /mg, film-coated (round, bevel edged) embossed 2 /mg tablet

• Treatment of mild to moderate hypertension (high blood pressure)
• Symptomatic management of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) to relieve urinary obstruction in men

• Initial dose for adults: 1 /mg orally at bedtime to reduce risk of postural hypotension; may be increased gradually every 1–2 weeks as needed
• Maintenance dose (Hypertension): 1–5 /mg once daily, up to a maximum of 20 /mg/day depending on response
• Maintenance dose (BPH): Generally increased in a step wise fashion to 5–10 /mg daily; clinical effect may require several weeks
• Administration: Swallow tablet whole with water; may be taken with or without food. First dose at bedtime; subsequent doses at the same time each day.

• If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered unless it's near the time of the next dose. Do not double up doses on the same day
