Aurora Music Centre (Setapak, Kuala Lumpur)

Aurora Music Centre is a dedicated piano learning centre located in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur. We teach students from age 5 and above — children, teens, and adults. The centre is also expanding into more advanced piano training to support university students or aspiring musicians who require solid technique, musical understanding, and long-term structured guidance.

Teaching Philosophy

At Aurora, we believe that music education must be built on long-term, structured, and fundamental training. Our focus is not only on “playing the correct notes” but developing real, transferable musical skills:

• Correct and stable piano technique (hand position, touch, rhythm)
• Aural development, musical understanding & analytical thinking
• Independence in practice habits
• Confidence, expression, and performance readiness

Most lessons are taught one-to-one to ensure personalised progress and goals.

1. Children’s Piano Programme (5 years & above)

• Basic hand shape & touch training
• Rhythm & aural development
• Note reading & introductory music theory
• Building confidence, interest, and foundation

2. Piano Programme for Teens (Primary & Secondary)

• Technique strengthening & hand movement refinement
• Musical expression and style awareness
• Training from classical to modern repertoire
• ABRSM / Trinity exam preparation (if required)

3. Adult Piano Programme (Beginner / Intermediate)

• Suitable for complete beginners or returning learners
• Lesson pacing fully personalised
• Focus on tone, touch, expression & musical understanding

4. University-Level & Advanced Training

Although most current students are children and teens, Aurora is developing higher-level pathways that include:

• Advanced technique & touch refinement
• Musical interpretation, style & analysis
• Basic accompaniment & ensemble training (future programme)

Regular Piano Recital (Student Performance Recital)
Aurora organises piano recitals where students perform on stage to showcase their progress. These recitals help develop confidence, musical expression, and real performance experience — a highlight enjoyed by both students and parents.
