Lisinopril STADA 20 /mg is used for:
Hypertension (high blood pressure)
Symptomatic heart failure, as adjunct therapy with diuretics and/or digitalis
Acute myocardial infarction (stable patients), in addition to standard therapy such as nitrates
Dosage:
Hypertension: Start 5 /mg once daily, titrate up to 20 /mg daily; maximum 40 /mg
Heart failure: Start 2.5 /mg once daily, titrate up to 35 /mg daily
Post MI: Initial 5 /mg, then 5 /mg after 24 /hrs, then 10 /mg after 48 /hrs; continue 10 /mg daily for at least 6 weeks
Administration: Swallow whole with or without food, ideally at the same time each day
Missed Dose: Take as soon as remembered unless it's close to the next dose—do not double up.
