Ketotifen Fumarate
Indication
Prophylactic treatment of bronchial asthma
Treatment of allergic conditions such as allergic rhinitis and conjunctivitis
Adults: 1 mg twice daily with food. If necessary, the dose can be increased to 2 mg twice daily.
Children over 2 years: 1 mg twice daily.
Note: For patients prone to sedation, it's recommended to start with 0.5–1 mg at night for the first few days.
Administration: Oral; tablets should be swallowed whole with water, preferably at the same time each day
Sedatives, Hypnotics, Other Antihistamines: May enhance sedative effects.
Alcohol: May increase CNS depressant effects.
Oral Antidiabetic Agents: Concurrent use is contraindicated due to the risk of thrombocytopenia.
