Content (Composition)

• Active Ingredient: Clobetasol /propionate 0.05% w/w — a potent synthetic topical corticosteroid with anti inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive effects
• Preservative: Chlorocresol 0.15% w/w (in the cream formulation)

• Indicated for severe inflammatory skin disorders responsive to corticosteroids, especially when less potent agents have failed — conditions include:
  • Eczema
  • Psoriasis
  • Discoid lupus erythematosus
  • Lichen planus
  • Other corticosteroid responsive dermatoses

• Route: External use only on clean, dry, intact skin. Wash hands before and after application, unless treating the hands
• Dosing: Apply sparingly to affected areas once or twice daily (1–2 times/day), or as directed by physician
• Duration: Limit treatment to 2 consecutive weeks, gradually reduce once improvement occurs and eventually discontinue
• Special instructions:
  • Do not use on the face, eyes, perioral, perianal, or genital areas, or on broken or infected skin
  • Avoid occlusive dressings unless expressly ordered by a physician; such dressings increase absorption and risk of side effects
  • Do not exceed 50 /g per week
  • If no improvement after ~2 /weeks or if adverse effects appear, consult your doctor
