Content

• Each tablet contains azithromycin dihydrate, equivalent to 250 /mg of azithromycin. azithromycin is a macrolide (azalide) antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis.

Indications

• Indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms, including:
  • Respiratory tract infections (e.g., sinusitis, bronchitis, community-acquired pneumonia)
  • Skin and soft tissue infections
  • Otitis media, pharyngitis, and tonsillitis
  • Uncomplicated genital infections due to Chlamydia trachomatis or non-multiresistant Neisseria gonorrhoeae
  • Prophylaxis against Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) in HIV patient

Instructions for Use

• Adults:
  • For typical bacterial infections: 500 /mg once on Day /1 followed by 250 /mg once daily on Days /2 /– /5 (total 1,500 /mg)
  • Alternatively, 500 /mg daily for 3 days may be used depending on infection type and local guidelines
• Administration:
  • Swallow the tablet whole with or without food (food may reduce gastrointestinal discomfort)
  • Do not use simultaneously with aluminum- or magnesium-based antacids (avoid within 1 /hour before or 2 /hours after dosing)
• Missed dose: Take as soon as remembered unless it’s near the next dose; do not double doses. Complete the full prescribed course even if symptoms improve early.
