3Wire RS2WLAN is an industrial WiFi / LAN IoT gateway designed to connect serial and Ethernet-based field devices such as PLCs, power meters, energy meters, sensors, controllers and Modbus devices to SCADA, BMS, EMS, IoT platforms and cloud monitoring systems.
RS2WLAN can poll data from connected serial devices and transmit it using MQTT or HTTP POST over WiFi or LAN. It can also operate as a serial device server, Modbus TCP gateway, Virtual COM bridge, TCP server, TCP client, UDP device or paired communication bridge.

Product Overview
RS2WLAN provides a practical bridge between field devices and modern IP-based systems. It is useful when existing equipment communicates through RS485, RS232 or RS422, but the site requires WiFi / LAN connectivity, remote SCADA access, cloud dashboards, MQTT data publishing or HTTP data submission.
The gateway supports both local industrial communication and IoT data transmission. It can connect Modbus RTU devices to Modbus TCP systems, expose serial devices through Virtual COM, or collect data and send it to IoTWatt 4.0 and other cloud platforms.

Typical IoT Data Flow
RS2WLAN collects data from field devices through RS232, RS485, RS422, TCP/IP or Ethernet, then sends it over WiFi / LAN to an MQTT broker, HTTP endpoint, IoTWatt platform or other cloud application.
