Attraction Highlights

[Kiyomizu-dera]
A UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site and one of Kyoto’s most popular attractions. Founded in 778, it is the oldest temple in Kyoto and a National Treasure of Japan. Jishu Shrine, located north of the main hall, is famous for matchmaking and prayers for love.
(Admission: Adults 300 yen; Elementary and junior high school students 200 yen; at own expense.)

[Ninenzaka & Sannenzaka]
Historic sloping streets outside Kiyomizu-dera, designated as an Important Preservation District for Traditional Buildings. Lined with traditional Japanese architecture, these charming streets feature local delicacies and handicrafts such as paper fans, dolls, and chopsticks.

[Ishibei-koji Alley]
Turn right at the end of Ninenzaka and walk north to find this quiet cobblestone lane. Elegant traditional houses line both sides, offering a peaceful atmosphere that feels like stepping back in time.

[Gion – Hanamikoji Street]
A historic and famous geisha district. In the 1960s, Kyoto had nearly a thousand geisha. Today, dozens of instructors continue to train in traditional arts such as tea ceremony, flower arrangement, classical music, dance, and more. The 1-kilometer street runs north to south, with a modern atmosphere in the north and traditional charm in the south.

[Yasaka Shrine]
Located in Kyoto’s Higashiyama Ward, it is one of the most well-known and historic shrines in the Kansai region. Visitors can draw fortune slips, write wishes on ema plaques, and purchase amulets. The heart-shaped ema for love blessings are especially popular.

(Guests may enjoy Kyoto-style local cuisine at their own expense while admiring the traditional architecture and capturing memorable photos.)

The following itinerary is for reference only. Adjustments may be made depending on the day’s conditions.

13:30 Kyoto

% Kyoto Matcha Experience (Approx. 40 minutes; experience fee included)

The highest philosophy of the Japanese tea ceremony is “Ichigo Ichie,” meaning “one time, one meeting.” It reflects the idea that each encounter is unique and should be treasured wholeheartedly. During the tea ceremony, the host sincerely welcomes each guest with the mindset that this may be a once-in-a-lifetime meeting.

After the matcha experience, guests are encouraged to visit Heian Shrine nearby and take photos at Japan’s largest torii gate.

14:20 Kyoto

% Okazaki Shrine – The Adorable “Rabbit Shrine” (Approx. 40 minutes, free time)

The shrine grounds are filled with rabbit statues. At the purification pavilion stands a black granite rabbit known as the “Blessing for Children Rabbit.” Pouring water over it and touching its belly is said to bring blessings for childbirth and safe delivery.

Inside the main hall, instead of a beckoning cat, you will find lucky rabbits. On the left is a wealth-bringing rabbit raising its right paw; on the right is a matchmaking rabbit raising its left paw. Rabbit motifs also appear on doors, lanterns, and goshuin (temple stamps).

Unlike most shrines that are guarded by stone lion-dogs, Okazaki Shrine is protected by a pair of stone rabbits. One has its mouth open, the other closed, symbolizing “A-Un.” Touch these charming rabbits and pray for a good relationship.

15:30 Kyoto

% Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion) – A Must-Visit Temple in Kyoto (Approx. 40 minutes; admission not included)

Also known as Rokuon-ji, this historic Zen temple is best known for its iconic Golden Pavilion (Shariden), covered in gold leaf. It is one of Kyoto’s most recognizable and photographed landmarks and is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Visitors can stroll through the lush gardens covered in moss, visit the temple teahouse, and admire the reflection of the Golden Pavilion in Mirror Pond. The scenery changes beautifully with each season, especially when blanketed in snow during winter.
(Admission reference: 500 yen per person.)

16:20 Return
Conclude the day’s sightseeing and begin the return journey.

17:00 Kyoto
Arrive at Kyoto Station Hachijo Exit – Sightseeing Bus Parking Lot (Kyoto drop-off point)

18:30 Osaka

Shinsaibashi & Dotonbori Area (Approx. 1 hour, free time)

Guests may choose to spend about one hour exploring Shinsaibashi.
Hotel pick-up/drop-off package guests who choose to stay in Shinsaibashi will be considered to have ended their tour (hotel return service will be forfeited without refund).
Meeting point package guests will be dismissed in the Shinsaibashi area.
Guests requiring hotel drop-off should wait for the shuttle for arranged transfer.

[Shinsaibashi]
Osaka’s most famous shopping street, featuring large department stores, chain drugstores, long-established brands, and boutique shops. Hello Kitty and Disney specialty stores are also located here. Many shops provide Chinese-speaking staff and accept UnionPay cards, making shopping convenient and enjoyable.

[Dotonbori]
A symbol of Osaka cuisine, bustling day and night. Known as the birthplace of Osaka’s “eat till you drop” food culture, it offers delicacies such as takoyaki, okonomiyaki, Kinryu Ramen, traditional izakayas, and popular restaurants like Kani Doraku.

The above schedule may be adjusted due to weather or traffic conditions. Thank you for your understanding.
