Our Active USB 2.0 Extension Cables are engineered to overcome the standard 5-meter distance limit of USB technology. Featuring integrated high-performance signal boosters (repeaters), these cables maintain data integrity and prevent signal drop-off over extreme distances, making them ideal for professional AV setups and industrial applications.
Integrated Active Repeaters: Features one or more inline signal booster modules that regenerate USB data signals to ensure reliable performance at lengths up to 30 meters.
High-Speed Data Sync: Supports full USB 2.0 high-speed data transfer rates up to 480 Mbps for seamless device operation.
Bus-Powered Efficiency: Powered directly by the USB port, eliminating the need for external power adapters in most standard applications.
Enhanced Signal Protection: Equipped with ferrite cores to suppress electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio-frequency interference (RFI) for a clean, stable connection.
Plug-and-Play Simplicity: Fully transparent to the operating system; no additional drivers or software required for installation.
Connector A: USB Type-A Male.
Connector B: USB Type-A Female.
USB Version: 2.0 (Backwards compatible with USB 1.1/1.0).
Booster Type: Active Repeater Module.
Available Lengths: 15M, 20M, 25M, 30M.
Jacket Material: Durable, flexible PVC.
Remote Webcams & Security: Connect high-definition webcams or security cameras located far away from the control computer.
Printer & Scanner Extension: Link office peripherals across large rooms or between different floors.
Interactive Displays: Extend connections for touchscreens and interactive whiteboards in classrooms or boardrooms.
Industrial Control: Bridge the distance between a control PC and specialized industrial machinery or CNC controllers.
Do I need an external power supply for this cable? Most low-to-medium power devices (like mice, keyboards, or printers) run perfectly on bus power. However, for high-drain devices like external hard drives, we recommend using a powered USB hub at the female end of the extension.
Can I daisy-chain multiple cables? While these cables are active, daisy-chaining multiple long extensions is not recommended as it can increase latency and decrease signal stability beyond the rated specifications.
Will this work with USB 3.0 devices? Yes, it is physically compatible, but the speed will be limited to USB 2.0 (480 Mbps). If your device requires high-speed 5 Gbps data, you should use a dedicated USB 3.0 active extension.
