The Cobalt Blue Tarantula is legendary in the hobby for its incredible coloration. Under proper lighting, its legs exhibit an electric, iridescent blue that looks almost metallic, contrasting with a dark grey or black carapace. It is a medium-sized, heavy-bodied spider.
Notes Behavior: This is a fossorial (burrowing) species. In captivity, they are often jokingly called "Pet Holes" because they spend 90% of their time underground. They create elaborate webbed tunnels.
Temperament: Aggressive/Defensive. They are extremely fast and will strike a threat posture easily. Not for beginners and strictly for "look, don't touch" keeping.
