QEED Single-Phase Power Meter & Isolated V/I Converter

QA-Power-M Single Phase Power Meter & Isolated V/I Converter

The QEED QA-Power-M combines a single-phase TRMS power meter with an isolated voltage / current converter. It measures electrical parameters, provides analogue retransmission, RS485 Modbus RTU communication, alarm contact output and USB datalogging in one compact DIN rail module.

It is suitable for applications requiring local analogue signal conversion and digital energy monitoring at the same time, including photovoltaic systems, energy management panels, high-voltage AC/DC signal conversion, high-current monitoring using external CTs, SCADA, BMS, EMS and IoT systems.

Overview

QA-Power-M is designed for applications where a single device must measure electrical power and also retransmit isolated analogue signals. It measures current, voltage, power, energy, frequency, power factor, peak values and THD, while providing RS485 Modbus data and programmable analogue output.

The module is useful where operators need both local / analogue signal availability and remote Modbus monitoring. It can be connected to PLC, SCADA, EMS, BMS, datalogger, IoT gateway or IoTWatt 4.0 through RS485 Modbus RTU or analogue input modules.

Positioning: Single-phase AC/DC power meter, isolated V/I converter, RS485 Modbus analyser and USB datalogger in one DIN rail module.

Key Features

Applications

Photovoltaic Systems

Monitor parallel string voltage, AC/DC power and generated energy.

Energy Management

Provide direct RS485 Modbus communication to EMS, SCADA and master Modbus systems.

High Voltage Conversion

Use as a high-voltage AC/DC converter for monitored voltage signals.

High Current Monitoring

Measure higher current circuits by using suitable external current transformers.

Local and Remote Monitoring

Use analogue output locally while sending Modbus data to the supervisory system.

USB Datalogging

Use USB thumb drive storage for CSV / Excel-importable site data logging.

Datalogging Function

QA-Power-M includes USB datalogging using a USB thumb drive. The integrated real-time clock enables timestamped records, and stored files can be imported into Excel for analysis, reporting, troubleshooting and commissioning documentation.

  • USB thumb drive datalogging
  • CSV / Excel-importable stored files
  • Integrated RTC real-time clock
  • Useful for commissioning and temporary power monitoring
  • Supports both local and remote monitoring requirements

Configuration

QA-Power-M is configured using the free FACILE QA-POWER software through USB. The software allows configuration of measurement type, communication settings, analogue output, alarm contact, data logging and scaling parameters.

  • Select RMS or DC measurement behaviour
  • Configure Modbus address and baud rate
  • Set voltage and current transformation ratios where required
  • Configure analogue output range and scaling
  • Configure alarm contact behaviour
  • Set minimum current threshold
  • Set minimum power threshold
  • Configure datalogging interval and stored data format
  • Restore factory default settings when required
Correction note: The old page referenced FACILE QI-POWER-485. This product should be configured using FACILE QA-POWER because the device is QA-Power-M.

System Integration

QA-Power-M is suitable for integration into industrial monitoring, automation and energy management systems. It provides Modbus RTU data for digital platforms and analogue outputs for conventional control systems.

  • Use RS485 Modbus RTU for PLC, SCADA, EMS and BMS integration
  • Use analogue output for local controller, recorder or analogue input systems
  • Use contact output for alarm, threshold or pulse signalling
  • Use USB datalogging for temporary measurement and site verification
  • Integrate into IoTWatt 4.0 through RS485 gateway or compatible input modules
Commissioning note: Confirm voltage range, current range, CT/VT ratio, output scaling, alarm contact logic and Modbus settings before energising the monitoring system.
